Rains

Haven't seen rains like this for ages. It has been raining continuously for over a day now. It started to rain last night and it hasn't stopped since till now(10.00 PM). Though it is quite welcome, I wonder when the roads will clear. Most of the roads in and around our suburb are flooded.

When is this off field cricket drama played by the Indian team going to end?? Forget about winning, to even give them a fairly decent run for their money seems to be a far cry. I don't think the Indians can win the mind game against the Aussies. They better concentrate on their cricket.

Car

Been looking for a car for the last couple of days. There seems to be too many new cars with so many variants. I think I am going to finally settle down for a Maruti Swift zxi version. Took a test drive of the vehicle. Very smooth vehicle. Hoping to get this in a couple of days.

Cycle to Work

I have started cycling to work for the last few days.. Bought a fairly decent cycle and been riding on it for a few days. Lot of funny faces at work at my new transport. It is quite refreshing on my way to work since it is quite early in the morning. Inhaling lot of diesel fumes on my way home. Though I take lot of small streets there are a few crossing where the pollution is just too bad.

Arrival

Reached here last saturday late night. So, it has taken a bit of time to write my first post about the return. Didn't have proper internet access for a while. Finally managed to setup my own wireless network at home.

Lots of interesting happenings over the last week. When I arrived at the Chennai Airport, got to know a Canadian tourist and showed her how to get around the city.

Got my neck sprained the next day since my arrival here. It takes a bit of effort to lie down on the floor having used to the bed for a lot of time. So, that was the first thing I have done. Got the King size Bed and Mattress setup in my bedroom.

Tried to go to the Beach the other day, and my god, there are so many people at the Marina Beach. Maybe it had to do with the day being sunday evening. Had to make a quick retreat in 5 minutes.

Went back to the Beach this morning for a run. Not much crowd, but it was quite hot at 7 in the morning. It was a huge effort to complete 20 minutes running. All that fried stuff and junk food in the last month was clearly visible. Planning to get back into serious training from now on. We will see how it long this will last.

Apart from that, haven't done much to write since my arrival. Have been eating at different places and mucking around. Will have to start looking for work by monday.

Catch up

One more of my numerous vain attempts at blogging. You will know when you have a 3 year old and a just born kid at home, how difficult life could be at times...The fun never stops. However, I will try to write my outpourings every now and then. Not that many readers of starved of my writing.
